Sarah played Division 1 basketball during her college years.  Freshman and sophomore years she played at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas before transferring to Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma to finish her business management degree and basketball career. During her playing days at ORU, Sarah ended her career with a 63.1% field goal percentage setting an ORU record, and blocked 99 shots, the 5th-most in ORU Golden Eagle program history. Career highlights include 10th in rebounding and 1st in blocks for the Southland Conference, and in the NCAA Tournament First Round against No. 10 Tennessee, Sarah grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds and blocked six shots against the Lady Vols.
