Coach eric shepherd

Eric Shepherd is in his eighth season as Evangel Christian Academy head basketball coach. Coach Shepherd has led the boys team to four 20+ win seasons, five college signees in four years and a team GPA of 3.9 during the 2022-2023 season. 

Shepherd has experience as an assistant coach at Centenary for the Gents men's basketball program after working for the Shreveport Assembly and Recreation (SPAR), where he assisted with sports programming. He has also served as a 15 and under AAU Coach for the Louisiana Select Team Paul Millsap in Shreveport. 

Shepherd graduated from Grambling State with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management. He currently resides in Shreveport.
