Our program emphasizes English language learning, highly structured coursework, a welcoming environment, and full inclusion in all aspects of student life. Students are placed in host homes where they can experience American culture and practice daily English in an informal environment. Additionally, students are automatically enrolled in ESL classes during the Fall semester which eases the transition into academic life. Upon completion of required coursework, students are eligible to receive a high school diploma on the same terms as their American classmates. Many of our students go on to attend university in the United States, while others return to their country of origin to complete their studies. We accept students beginning in 9th grade and offer I-20 based Visas. This allows students to attend multiple years and experience a full high school experience. Students are accepted through various agencies and independent agents.

Evangel is a college preparatory school fully accredited by the State of Louisiana Department of Education and all faculty members are required to comply with their rigorous standards. Teachers must have teacher certification in the State of Louisiana, be qualified and actively pursuing certification, or teach in the field in which they majored. ECA is also certified to an even higher standard of excellence by Cognia, formerly known as AdvancED, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
