2013-2015 Centenary College Assistant Coach/Recruiter

2015-Present Evangel Christian Academy Head Softball/Head Volleyball Coach

Amanda’s passion for sports started in the small Texas town of Elysian Fields. She grew up with a passion to be outside and spent her days at the local field with her father playing softball. She played Softball, Basketball, Volleyball, Cheerleading, and even Baseball with all the boys while growing up. She especially fell in love with Volleyball and Softball. She graduated from Elysian Fields High School in 2006 and led them to the first ever state title in softball in 2005 and then state runner up in 2006.

After graduating from high school she went on to play college softball at Texarkana College where she played shortstop as a freshmen and went to the NJCAA World Series. Following her freshmen year at Texarkana College Amanda decided to transfer to the University of Texas at Tyler to play for Coach Mike Reed. In her career at UT-Tyler Amanda would acquire many accolades and awards as the starting Shortstop all 3 years at UT-Tyler. UT-Tyler made an appearance in the NCAA Division 3 Softball World Series with Amanda at shortstop again.

Amanda would graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Kinesiology in the spring of 2011. After graduating Amanda decided to further her education and get a degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at BPCC in the fall of 2012. Since then, besides being an assistant college softball coach, Amanda has been a full time OTA for Southern Hills Nursing home in Shreveport. As much as Amanda has enjoyed being an OTA, softball is her true passion. Amanda feels her calling is not to just coach the sports that she loves but to prepare the athletes for life both mentally and spiritually.

Amanda married Ryan Juneau in the summer of 2014. Ryan is a former Parkway High School Graduate who played 4 seasons of college baseball at Louisiana College.
