Evangel Christian Academy is accredited by the Louisiana Department of Education and all of its faculty members are required to comply to the same standards as public school teachers. They must have teacher certification in the State of Louisiana, qualified and actively pursuing certification, or teaching in the field in which they majored. The school has also received accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS-CASI). Evangel administrators, faculty and staff are committed educational professionals who care about the educational and spiritual well-being of their students.

- Annual Literary Rally - Each year Evangel high school students participate in the Louisiana Literary Rally. In 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2009 & 2010, Evangel students won the first place sweepstakes in Division III, winning over other excellent schools such as Loyola College Prep and Rapides Parish High School. In the past three years, thirteen Evangel students have placed at the statewide Literary Rally level, with five students winning first place in the state.
- Iowa Tests and LEAP Scores - On the standardized Iowa tests, Evangel students scored 10 to 20 percent above the statewide public school norm, with many students working one to two year above grade level. The LEAP exams are required Louisiana exams which assess whether students are on target academically. Evangel has demonstrated high academic standards through the continued success of its students on these exams.
- National Awards - Two students have received the National Merit Scholar award, a high honor earned by less than 8,000 U.S. students per year. Two others have received the National Achievement Scholar award, a top honor for African American students.
- College Scholarships Awarded - For the past five graduating classes, seniors have qualified for over $1.5 million in academic and athletic scholarships from colleges and universities across the nation. Ninety-six students in the class of 2004 collectively earned $1.6 million. Here’s a breakdown of the funds received: Academic scholarships - $1.03 million; athletic scholarships - $538,000; fine arts scholarships - $10,750; and miscellaneous - $15,900. Students take advantage of the Louisiana TOPS scholarship program, as well as receiving scholarships to other prestigious U.S. universities -- Yale, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Southern Methodist University (SMU), Pepperdine, Vanderbilt and more.
