Evangel Drama Department

A full-scale musical dinner theater is presented each year with a cast that includes middle and high school students.  Some of the past offerings include the following:  The Best of Broadway, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Hello Dolly, Godspell, The Best of Broadway, South Pacific, Grease and Oliver. Special Christmas programs and other dramatic presentations by children at all grade levels help students develop their talents and leadership abilities. Students have won spots in the All-State Choir, All-State Band, and top honors at the regional ArtBreak talent show. Evangel has prepared a number of graduates to step into their dream of working in the entertainment industry, media, theater, musical performance, and Christian music. For three years in a row Evangel has won first place in the Louisiana State Thespian Festival.
