Summer Reading List 2006-2007

The following is the summer reading list for Evangel Christian Academy students. Each grade level teacher selected book readings to help students prepare for next year. Please look under your student’s grade level to find the recommended summer reading for your child. These books can be found for free at your local public library or purchased online through Books a million(www.booksamillion.com) or Scholastic books. (Prices are listed for Books a million for your convenience)

Kindergarten through 2nd Grade Teachers would like students to read 4 books this summer. Choose two from the summer reading recommendations and read the two required readings.
Kindergarten:
Summer Reading recommendations are:

1. All by Myself by Mercer Mayer ($3.29)
2. I Just forgot by Mercer Mayer ($3.99)
3. Just Shopping with Mom by Mercer Mayer (3.99)
4. If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff ($10.83)

Required Readings are:

1. Are You My Mother? by P. Ed. Eastman ($4.99)
2. Arthur’s Baby by Mark Brown ($6.99)

First Grade
Summer Reading Recommendations:

1. Any Clifford Series book by Norman Birdwell ($3.99-$9.99)
2. Any Curious George Series by Margaret Rey ($3.95-8.75)
3. Great Day for Up by Dr. Seuss ($8.99)
4. Mr. Brown Can Moo Can You? by Dr. Seuss ($4.99)

Required Readings are:

Second Grade
