Jerry Erickson began his pastoral career at First Assembly of God in Shreveport after 20 years of business experience with Fortune 500 companies.  He graduated from Evangel University with undergraduate degrees in accounting and management, and he went into the pharmaceutical industry as a financial analyst and profit planner.  During his years there, he worked at a variety of positions, including contract manager, business manager, national accounts manager, and marketing director.  He received a Master’s of Business Administration from Webster University. 

In 1998, Jerry and his wife Parletta felt the call of God to ministry and began to seek God diligently.  In August of 1998, God directed them and their four children to Shreveport and in January 2000 he joined First Assembly’s pastoral staff.  Jerry has been involved in establishing Evangel’s financial and administrative structures over the past few years.  He became Head of School in 2004.
